BOARD OF DIRECTORS RECRUITMENT

An Elections Committee is appointed in the summer to recruit applicants for board membership. Candidates who meet the qualifications to stand for office meet with the Elections Committee. The Elections Committee submit their recommendations to the RHIC Board of Directors at the December Board Meeting. The Board votes to approve or alter the list of applicants submitted by the Elections Committee. Applicants approved by the Board are instated at the first Board Meeting of the new year.

The Elections Committee actively encourages nominations from Reservoir Hill residents & Community Partners.  The committee seeks to achieve equitable representation on the Board across geography, income levels, and race within the neighborhood.  Emphasis in selection is given to candidates who have been in residence and active in community affairs sufficiently to understand community dynamics and RHIC strategy, and be able to represent broad community interests.
