Which display case is different than the others? (8/9/12)
This past Thursday 8/9/12, Reservoir Hill community members of all ages gathered to celebrate the brand new partnership between Whitelock Community Farm and Linden Market. By stocking fresh produce grown just down the street, Linden Market is the first Baltimore City corner store to offer its customers food grown by a local urban farm. Thanks as always to Howard Fink for the great pictures.
Baltimore City Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Baltimore City Department of Health Commissioner Dr. Oxiris Barbot, Baltimore City 7th District Councilman Nick Mosby, and representatives from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health joined Elisa Lane, Whitelock Community Farm manager, and Jason Kim, owner of Linden Market, to launch the partnership.

But the real party was just outside the doors of Linden Market, where residents could participate in food tastings, cooking demonstrations, face-painting, games, or just watch 8-foot-tall stilt walkers juggling hula hoops while wearing vegetable skirts:
And it seems like you can't go anywhere in Reservoir Hill without seeing neighbors talking to neighbors about how they can save money and energy by signing the FLIP THE POWER pledge:
