Tocarra Pridgen, John Eager Howard School parent and Communications Chair of Parents/Teachers/Communities Taking Action (formally the John Eager Howard Parent-Teacher-Community Organization), spoke at the 3 November Transform Baltimore rally at the War Memorial Building. Tocarra spoke out with more than 50 other schools and organizations in support of the City creating new funding mechanisms to rehab city school facilities.
Frank Patinella, Reservoir Hill resident and School & Recreation Team member, spoke in his capacity as Education Reform Project organizer for the ACLU, leading the discussion on what the full rehabilitation of city schools will require financially.
City families need action on schools now. Transform Baltimore is calling upon the Mayor, City Council, and our State legislators to act now to renovate and modernize all city school buildings. Check out more about Transform Baltimore .
