OUR APPROACH
RHIC’s approach to neighborhood planning combines three primary principles:
1) The organized and influential participation of residents is essential.
2) Neighborhood planning must be holistic, combining housing, education, transportation, recreation, and a host of other factors.
3) Development must be fair and equitable and result in housing options and opportunities for all income levels.

RHIC’s Goals for Public Land Development include assurances of quality housing for low-to-moderate income families, fair wages and worker protections for work on development projects, and the allocation of a percentage of development fees for beneficial community projects.
