Neighbors Working Together to Rejuvenate Madison Avenue Park

Help Us Rejuvenate the Madison Ave Park

Reservoir Hill Improvement Council (RHIC) has been awarded a grant to restore and expand the flower garden portion of the Madison Avenue Park at 2325 Madison Avenue. As the first phase in revitalizing the entire park, the Parks and People greening grant will fund creating and paving new pathways, creating and planting new gardens, and reviving and maintaining the existing garden and pathway. Work will be performed by volunteers over two half-days of work this fall and next spring. Each work day will be followed by a community lunch/gathering to thank the volunteer workers, and celebrate the work completed with the entire community. No expertise needed, only enthusiasm! Please email Christine at crvaleriann@yahoo.com if you have questions or would like to volunteer. Thank you!

Preparation for 11/12 Work Day
RAIN DATE: Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 12pm to 2-3pm?

This will be an abbreviated workday, just a couple of hours, to spec out the pathways and gardens again in preparation for the 11/12 work day--the design was denoted by the landscaper in June, but the weeds have eradicated his markings. We will need to weed wack, do some weeding, and mark the outlines of the design again.
