Update on Callow Avenue Revitalization Initiative

The first four houses in this initiative are expected to be completed in October of this year. As it stands now, the houses will range from approximatly $240,000 to a little over $300,000 for the 2 Unit (multi-family) properties.  In the end,at present, there will be nine houses completed. 

Currently, 6 homes range from 3 bedrooms 2.5 baths to 4 bedrooms 3 baths.

Of the 3 properties that will be two-family:

  • Two have an Owners Unit with 3 bedrooms 3 baths and the Apartment unit will be 1 bedroom 1 bath
  • One has an Owners Unit with 3 bedrooms 3 baths and the Apartment has 2 bedrooms 2 baths

The homes will be eligible for a variety of grants and purchase incentives, including but not necessarily limited to:  a CHAP historic tax credit for a ten year freeze of property taxes at pre-renovation values; a $10,000 Vacants to Values grant, and up to a $5,000 NSP2 grant. All grants are subject to approval.
