Condolences on the passing of Frances Meekins

Reservoir Hill Mutual Homes and Reservoir Hill Improvement Council
regret to inform the community
of the passing of Frances Meekins this morning
and express our condolences to the family

Frances has lived in Reservoir Hill more that 15 years, the last twelve at Reservoir Hill Mutual Homes.  In that time she worked for the well-being of our community in numerous ways.  For many years she organized the distribution of dumpsters in the community for clean-ups, often remaining by the dumpsters to ensure they weren’t used by anyone but residents.  Perhaps the project that most bears her mark, and certainly hours of her devotion, is the Willie Mae Davis Park connecting the 700 blocks of Lennox Street and Reservoir Street.

Frances will be remembered and missed.

More information will follow as the family finalizes arrangements.
May the family be comforted in their loss by the community and Frances’ memory.
