Community-wide Clean-up - April 19, 2008
On Saturday, April 19, 2008 residents of Reservoir Hill came out to clean up the neighborhood. This was in response to the Mayor, Sheila Dixon’s citywide Clean Sweep. Each neighborhood group was requested by RHIC to clean up their area. Many residents came out to participate. Bolton Park Neighbors cleaned the Lennox Street Garden, Historic Mt. Royal cleaned up the alley area behind Mt. Royal Terrace, and residents on Brookfield came out and cleaned. The Linden Avenue block club did a great job in cleaning the alley between Linden and Eutaw Street. The Reservoir Hill Mutual Homes led by Frances Meekins and several younger residents cleaned Callow Avenue. This event was a great event followed by a cookout at John Eager Howard Park. All that participated did a wonderful job and 10,708 pounds of trash was removed from our neighborhood as a result of our hard work.
