Board Recruitment
Board Elections are held each year at the Annual Meeting, which is typically held in early October. An Elections Committee Chair is appointed in late spring, and open slots are announced in June. The Elections Committee actively encourages nominations from member associations in good standing. The committee seeks to achieve equitable representation on the Board of the neighborhoods across Reservoir Hill, income levels, and race. Emphasis in selection is given to candidates who have been in residence and active in community affairs sufficiently to understand community dynamics and RHIC strategy, and be able to represent broad community interests. Candidates who meet the qualifications to stand for office meet with the Elections Committee during the summer, appear before the Community Meeting in September, then again at the Annual Meeting, where the votes of member associations are given.
